Recently, August, 2012. I had the opportunity to once again going back to my country The Dominican Republic. Fortunately this time not because the situation of loosing someone part of the family, as it unfortunatenately usually happens. This time on real vacations, having fun and expending quality time with relatives and friends.
As a musician and Tv producer. I can't not left my camcorder behind and then being suffering because a missed any beautiful nature's scenes, or an extacular musical event as usual The Dominican Republic presents.
This time I did not waisted any time before I come down and called my friend Fernando Rodriguez De Mondesert, who's so far is the head of supporting Jazz music in The D.R. For my surprise he invite me to be part of one of his event of a phenomenal modern jazz quartet. Composed by four veterans and very well respected local and international musicians, such as Drummer Guy Frometa, Guitarist Rafael "Rafa" Payan, The native of Santiago, DR of Chinese decencies. Bassist Pengbian Sang and one of my best friends, "compueblano" (Native of the same town), Saxophonist Sandy Gabriel. This group, I will say according to my knowledge, are the best four jazz musicians in the Island.
Their name,really strutted me... MATERIA PRIMA ( Raw Material). A group of energetic Dominican musicians playing original compositions, with a very reach jazz harmony fusion.
I Just got back home and I can't way any longer to share with you just a short video segment of so many more to come during this trip to the DR.
Here is something that I have been waiting to see it happen for a very long time... My fellow friends Dominican musicians playing original and serious jazz fusion. Like this original called "Duke", "The Dog" ( El Perro ) by guitarist Rafa Payan.
I am 100% sure you are going to enjoy this as much as I did filming it...
Note: This is unique and I hope this will be discovered by an international record label...

Recientemente, agosto de 2012. Tuve la oportunidad de volver una vez más a mi país, la República Dominicana. Afortunadamente esta vez no por la situación de perder a alguien parte de la familia, como muchas veces desafortunadamente suele ocurrir. Esta vez en vacaciones reales, a divertirse y pasar tiempo de calidad con mi familiares y amigos.
Como músico y productor de televisión. No puedo no dejé mi cámara detrás par luego no tener el sufrimiento que se causa una perdida escenas de cualquier naturaleza hermosa o un evento extacular, como de costumbre, la República Dominicana presenta.
Esta vez no perdi tiempo antes de llegar y llamé a mi amigo Fernando Rodríguez De Mondesert, que es hasta ahora es la cabeza de apoyo a la música de jazz en la República Dominicana. Para mi sorpresa, él me invitó a formar parte de uno de sus eventos de un cuarteto de jazz moderno fenomenal. Compuesto por un cuatro de veteranos y muy respetado músicos locales e internacionales, tales como baterista Guy Frómeta, El Guitarrista Rafael "Rafa" Payán, El nativo de Santiago, Rep. Dom. de decencia china. El bajista Pengbian Sang y uno de mis mejores amigos, y compueblano el saxofonista Sandy Gabriel. Este grupo, voy a decir de acuerdo a mi conocimiento, son los cuatro mejores músicos de jazz fusion de la isla.
Su nombre, realmente me impacto'... "MATERIA PRIMA". Un grupo de músicos Dominicanos que tocan enérgicas composiciones originales, con una my armonica fusión de jazz.
Me acabo de volver a casa y no puedo aguanta por más tiempo compartir con ustedes un breve segmento de video de muchos más por venir en este viaje a la República Dominicana.
Aquí hay algo que he estado esperando ver que suceda por un tiempo muy largo ... Mis amigos compañeros músicos dominicanos tocando jazz fusión original y serio. Como esta original llamado "Duke", "The Dog" (El Perro) por el guitarrista Rafa Payán.
Estoy 100% seguro de que van a disfrutar de esto tanto como yo al filmarlo ...
